Preamble to the Constitution of The American Legion

For God and Country
we associate ourselves together for the
following purposes:

To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;
To maintain Law and Order;
To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;
To preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars;
To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the Community, State and Nation;
To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;
To make right the Master of Might;
To promote Peace and Goodwill on earth;
To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of Justice, Freedom and Democracy;
To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

Just a few things that have happened in the past few months. We have completely redone our shuffleboard table, the dance floor has been redone, new chairs were purchased for our bar, and now we are currently replacing our bar. Thanks to the hard work by our Commander, Rhonda Land, she is doing her very best to ensure that all of the needs of our post are taking care of above all else. Thanks to all of the people that without their undying devotion the needs of our post would not be met. We will continue to update our fellow members as we continue to update our facility. We invite all of our fellow Legionnaires to join us as we move forward.
